ActionScript 3.0 Game Programming University
I decided it’s time to catch up with what’s new with ActionScript 3.0. It’s a little depressing–I barely got to know ActionScript 2.0. But a grrl’s got to keep up with the times. I picked Gary Rosenzweig’s ActionScript 3.0 Game Programming University as a good place to start. I’ve used some of his books in the past and find he makes game programming for small-to-medium sized games fairly accessible. And these are just the sort of games I like to noodle around with. When Macromedia first introduced ActionScript 1.0, I created this tile puzzle game as an effort to wrap my brain around the new scripting language. I hope to do the same for ActionScript 3.0. I’ll update this post with a more in depth review once I’ve finished with the book.
